A group of Year 6 pupils were chosen to represent our school on a visit to The Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament) on Monday.
This was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the country's governance and how laws are made and debated. We even had the chance to suggest and debate a new law ourselves!
Since Parliament is currently in recess, we were able to visit the House of Lords and House of Commons chambers as part of a fascinating tour where we heard lots of stories from our country's history.
After our tour and workshop, we met Luciana Berger, our MP here in Childwall, and asked her lots of questions about her experiences as a Member of Parliament.
