Class 8

Welcome to Class 8!

This year Miss O' Sullivan is our teacher and we are very lucky to have Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Butchard working with us during the week too!

Autumn 2

This half-term we will be learning about the Stone Age and where possible we will be writing about this History topic in a cross-curricular manner. In Maths we will be focusing on multiplication and division and in English we will be reading UG - Boy Genius of The Stone Age and basing our writing lessons around this. Our Science topic will be rocks and in RE we will explore the meaning of presence through our topic God with us before moving on to Christmas.

One piece of written work per week or a piece set from the ‘My Maths’ website.

Regular learning of tables is essential. There will usually be a times tables test once a fortnight, (on a Friday).

Regular reading at home

A spellings list to be learned weekly, the test will be on a Friday

A piece of written work will be set fortnightly.

Homework will be set on a Friday and will need to be completed for the following Wednesday, (spellings and times tables will be tested on a Friday). The children will bring their spellings home in a small, red book.
