Welcome to Class 10
Our teacher is Miss Wilson and our teaching assistant is Mrs Mavers.
We are looking forward to an exciting year in Year 4!
Class 10 will have swimming lessons this half term. The start date is Thursday 14th September, so please have your swimming kit in school. Outdoor PE lessons, (with Mr Hawthorne) will take place on a Monday. In addition to your school PE top, you may wear a tracksuit. Please bring trainers to school on a Monday, as these are more suitable for outdoor games.
We will enjoy learning about lots of interesting topics this half term. Our history topic is 'The Anglo-Saxons'. We will explore who they were, why they came to Britain and how they lived. We are looking forward to carrying out some exciting investigations during our science topic, 'States of Matter'. During RE lessons, we will be exploring the story of David and using the Psalms to discover more about the nature of God. For more detailed information about the curriculum, please refer to our Curriculum Overview at the bottom of the page.
The children will receive homework on a regular basis. Spelling lists will be set on a Thursday, for a test the following week. Other homework will be set on a Friday, for the following Wednesday. The children are expected to read regularly at home and finished reading books should be put into the class tray.
In Class 10 we enjoy learning, we always try our best and we have lots of fun!
