Welcome to Class 10
Welcome back after the Easter break.
We are looking forward to an exciting Summer term in Year 4!
We will enjoy learning about lots of interesting topics this term. Our geography topic is 'Rivers'. The children will find out about the features of a river, focusing on the River Amazon. Later in the term, the children will take part in a water workshop, learning about the Water Cycle in a practical context. We will also be linking our artwork to our geography topic. Our science topic is all about Electricity. The children will have opportunities to investigate and make a variety of circuits. During RE lessons, we will be reflecting on the church and how it is special as a place of worship to many of us. For more detailed information about the curriculum, please refer to our 'Curriculum Web' at the bottom of the page. Mrs Mavers is here to help us, especially during our maths and English lessons. We are very lucky to have her!
The children will receive homework on a regular basis. Spelling lists will be set on a Thursday, for a test the following week. Other homework will be set on a Friday, for the following Wednesday. The children are also expected to read regularly at home.
Additional Exciting Events
We will be visiting the 'Terracotta Warriors Exhibition' in May! We are also looking forward to our Year 4 Residential Visit to Colomendy in June! There are many other interesting events planned in addition to these, (see the newsletter for dates).
In Class 10 we enjoy learning, we always try our best and we have lots of fun!
